Andrea Ragan has been a registered nurse for 9 years. After initially completing a degree in kinesiology and pursuing a personal training business she decided to return to school to obtain her bachelors degree in Nursing. Graduating from the University of Calgary in 2014, she settled in as an inpatient RN at the Alberta Children’s Hospital.
As Andrea’s family grew to include 2 children and her “country” life became more established, living just outside of city limits, her interests also changed and she began work as a rural emergency RN in small town Alberta. After spending many years practicing reactive medicine and wondering how many health issues could be prevented, she found herself searching for ways to play a more positive role in health and wellness.
Over the years, Andrea has developed a strong interest in finding balance in life, through family, work and play. She believes in taking the time to identify and strengthen the pillars in life that build each individual up positively and help to maintain a healthy lifestyle overall.
This is Andrea’s first move into preventative health and wellness and she looks forward to both supporting the clinic and its clients, and learning from them on this journey.

Kathy completed her Bachelor of Nursing with Distinction in 2000 from the University of Calgary. She then practiced in the Emergency Department where an interest in prevention started to grow. Seeing patients present in a health crisis became frustrating and she decided to pursue becoming a Nurse Practitioner.
She graduated from Athabasca University with her Masters in Advanced Nursing Practice in 2010 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She has been practicing in the Primary Care setting ever since. She has also worked in research, education, women’s health, Geriatrics, and Pediatrics. She has a love for learning. Her growing interest in preventative and anti-aging medicine has led her to seek additional and ongoing education in this specialty area.
Kathy has a love for preventative medicine. Her goal with patients is to address the underlying cause of their health problems, moving away from just focusing on treating symptoms. She recognizes the uniqueness of each patient, taking a personalized approach to health. She looks at the link between lifestyle factors and health and wellbeing. She believes there are five pillars to good health: optimal rest and sleep, relaxation and stress management, nutritional and supplements, having meaning and purpose in life, and physical activity. These pillars are a focus while working with patients on their health goals.
